Cover crop research has the potential to unlock environmental benefits such as increased soil fertility and weed suppression in organic agricultural systems. Variation between methodology can affect results, and planting methods are often different from study to study, even though planting methods can have vastly different seed-to-soil contact and depth of sowing. There is currently a lack of research on the effect of planting methods on cover crop performance.

Motion tracking is desirable in many real-life applications such as gait analysis. However, it is difficult to accomplish using inertial measurement units due to their limitations in accuracy. The accuracy that can be achieved in tracking short interval motions using an inertial measurement unit was found. A system consisting of a “sensor block” was formed using an Arduino Pro Mini, an IMU such as the Adafruit BNO055, and a Bluetooth module. The data was received by using the Bluetooth capabilities of a laptop.

Self-harm, non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI), and suicide attempts represent four of the top ten leading causes of nonfatal, violence-related emergency department visits among adolescents aged 10-17. These self-harming behaviors are important as they place youth at high risk for suicide. Though illness is a risk factor for suicide in adults and resources may be depleted in individuals experiencing compromised physical health, little information is currently available about whether physical health behaviors are linked to self-harm and suicide in adolescents.

As suicide rates continue to rise in the United States and previous research has confirmed that media representations can lead to imitative suicidal behavior, examining the fictional representations of suicide and their potential consequences has become imperative in preventing a continued increase in the rate of suicide.

The tendency for humans to characterize themselves as “right-brained” or “left-brained” emerges from the observation that the left and right hemispheres exhibit some specialization for different functions. Previous electrophysiological studies of frogs suggest they may also exhibit brain lateralization in the form of a right ear advantage (REA) for the sensory processing of conspecific advertisement calls. Because frogs must compare information from two ears to accurately localize sound sources, we hypothesized that a REA could lead to a directional bias in phonotaxis toward calling males.

Selective workplace incivility, which is conceptualized as low-intensity counterproductive work behaviors expressed toward a specific demographic group (e.g., women or African Americans), often leads to various negative outcomes among the targeted employees including reduced job satisfaction and turnover. To address this issue, the present study built upon previous research on Intergroup Contact Theory and applied it to workplace settings.
