An intuitive application format
The new InfoReady portal has some features that will help make it more straightforward and accurate than our previous application system, but the format and questions for the UROP, IUROP, and GIA UROP applications are largely the same.
This video will walk you through the UROP application, but you can view the sample questions for any of our applications ahead of time on each application page on our InfoReady site.
Recommendation Instructions for Faculty Mentors
Automated notifications and easier functionality
Starting in the Spring 2026 application round for UROP and GIA UROP, your recommendation process as a faculty mentor will include automated notifications through InfoReady to help make this step easier and more efficient.
Please note that active projects will need to be completed through our old platform.
Review Instructions for UROP Coordinators
New portal, same process
Although the portal through which you'll review UROP applications and faculty mentor recommendations has changed, the process by which your college's faculty committee reviews applications will remain largely the same. The changes in your role as UROP coordinator are highlighted in the instructional video.
