Isolate and identify bacteria from Alfalfa salad

The purpose of the experiment was to identify bacteria by isolating them over the course of three weeks and understand the characteristics of the bacteria which cause salads to degenerate, their physical and chemical effects. This was done by streaking the bacteria's on the agar plate, followed by PCR reaction to amplify the bacteria, using gel electrophoresis to identify band of the bacteria, sending the amplified bacteria to the lab for identification of their genomic sequence and through that sequence finding the most closely associated bacteria that matches with the genomic sequence. Other steps like microscopic identification and gram staining were also done to understand the morphological and nature of the bacteria.
