Visually Impaired Grocery Shopping
The two main parts of the project are creating a grocery item recognition system to differentiate the grocery items and brands when they appear in the user’s camera, and a barcode scanner to read the barcode on the item. To build a robust system, technologies such as object alignment will be useful to help people direct the camera before the barcode is scanned or the product is identified.
