Participatory Co-Design Kits to Understand Children's Needs in a Bedtime Management Tool

This study explores children's preferences towards bedtime management tools through a participatory co-design approach, emphasizing the importance of sensory needs such as texture and color, which are often overlooked in existing products. The co-design kit was developed iteratively through pilot phases, and the current co-design kit is under ongoing research at the University daycare (CDLS). Earlier pilot studies indicate that engaging children in the selection of materials and personalization of their "bedtime pal" increases the acceptance of bedtime management tools among children aged 3-5 years.
