Creativity in Natural and Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence is here and growing, but what does that mean for the people in creative or thought based industries that have until now felt safe from mechanization and technological advancements. This paper shall begin in defining creativity in relation to certain ways in which humans are seen as creative. This is then followed by a discussion of artificial computer “creativity,” both as seen today and in the days before large language models. These ideas of carbon and silicon based creative processes will then be compared and contrasted, allowing for a conclusion discussing how both will interact and ways this will affect the future of “creative” industries.
