  • As of September 1, 2014, all new UROP stipends will be paid as scholarships rather than as payroll. Please check with Financial Aid to determine if this will affect your aid package for the year.

  • There are a variety of national and international scholarships available to U of MN undergraduates. Here is a list to check out!

  • The UROP Office is now housed in 511 Bruininks Hall. Come see us in our new location!

  • The University of Minnesota Informatics Institute (UMII) will provide funding for up to 25 UROP projects that include significant informatics components. Projects must either address a data challenge within a research problem in any field of application or address informatics methodologies or techniques more broadly.

  • A number of agencies and groups sponsor summer research experience programs for undergraduate students. Google searches will find websites for many of these programs. Many have deadlines in January or February.
