Major:

Developmental Psychology. Minor in Neuroscience.

Post-Graduation Goals:

After graduation, I’ll likely take a gap year and then apply to clinical developmental psychology graduate programs.

Research Interests/Areas/Accomplishments:

I’m interested in the unique ways in which identities are formed during childhood and the mechanisms through which culture, resilience, and trauma play a role in development. I’m also looking to develop my knowledge of developmental disorders and am currently seeking research opportunities to progress my curiosity! I’m a past MSROP scholar and I’ve been doing directed research for over a year.

My Advice for How to Get Involved in Research:

Take advantage of the resources available to you. The University of Minnesota is a research-oriented institution and there are a plethora of opportunities waiting to be explored. Check out the Office of Undergraduate Research website, set up a meeting with the staff, attend a symposium, and/or research faculty you’re interested in working with. Once you take that first step it’ll open up a lot of opportunities for you!
